Why is it called The Lundqvist Arms?

The village pub is called The Lundqvist Arms because, of all the Squoire's associates, Kurt Lundqvist is probably the one who is most noticeably armed. The inn-sign, before it blew away in a gale, was the largest ever recorded as being put up outside a pub, owing to an unwise attempt made by the signwriter to depict on it all the armament carried at one time or another by Kurt Lundqvist. It is possible that collision with this sign may have been the start of the Giraffe's troubles.
